The Network Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for all corporate, data center, and cloud based networks and reports to the Manager of Network Engineering. You are to provide technical expertise needed to design, implement and support day-to-day network operations escalation.
Lead efforts to maintain complex and growing network topology that must meet the needs of a challenging set of development, operations and business requirements. Demonstrating innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered and being able to maintain the security and integrity of the networks is very important.
You will be monitoring performance of network systems and advise management when additional processing or technology enhancements are required and perform troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure elements to support the diagnosis of problems.

WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • BS or Associate’s Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience.
  • 7+ years of enterprise and data center network engineering experience - network monitoring/observability including creating dashboards with network tools.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with public Cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) Network Components.
  • Strong experience with InfoBlox DNS solution, AWS Route 53, Google Cloud DNS and F5 GTM & LTM.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Subject matter expert responsible for the co-design and build of all strategic network platforms within Equifax, which are expected to provide competitive advantage to our portfolio of businesses globally. -Work with network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
  • Work in a multi-vendor environment managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against deadlines.
  • Participate in global team environments, solving problems around the world.
  • Maintain expertise of industry standard next generation firewall - Configuration, Deployment and Operation.
  • Maintain and create useful, accessible, network documentation that can be shared with internal users, other teams, and auditors.
  • Track and monitor network performance and throughput in ongoing effort to right size primary and secondary network links (LAN, WAN, and WLAN).
  • Continue to drive existing and establish new company wide standards across remote sites and data centers.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity environments are compliant, available, and easily accessible.
  • Enable the business while maintaining a strong security posture within the network best practices framework.
  • Manage vendor relationships and proof of concept engagements.
  • Experience with the creation and maintenance of DNS records, DNS zones, & DNSSEC.
  • Perform as the lead technical authority for these technologies within Equifax, and is responsible for ensuring that our business continually benefits from industry innovations in the network domain.
