General Description
The Systems Engineer position is available immediately for the Sycomp Professional Services Team in Burlingame, CA. The Systems Engineer must have broad technical knowledge of Infrastructure solutions and perform hardware installations and logical configurations. The Systems Engineer will deliver excellent customer service, collaborate with the team using professional written and verbal communication, and demonstrate effective problem determination skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will perform a wide range of duties including some or all the following:
· Proficient with Aruba Network skills and be able to work on the basic router and a network switch.
· Proficient in Linux and Windows Operating Systems, Network and Storage connectivity, and systems security.
· Proficient with server, switch hardware, and experience with assembly and integrating the equipment in a staging environment and test for equipment failure.
· Experience in problem analysis and resolution of hardware and software problems.
· Rack and stack equipment in a data center setting, and troubleshoot hardware related issues.
· Field support for any equipment failure and its replacement.
· Deliver quality technical support assistance in a timely manner.
· Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Adhere to the project scope and perform tasks on schedule to meet project completion deadlines.
· Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.
· Support Technical Sales as necessary.
Experience
5 years technical experience in an IT or other related field
Education
University degree in a related subject or Professional designation
HPE Aruba Networking Certified Professional - Switching a plus
