This role sits at the core of: Network performance and reliability Security and firewall management Modern enterprise connectivity You'll work hands-on with Aruba networking technologies and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure, high-performing environments. Position Overview We are seeking hands-on engineers who can: Design and support enterprise networks Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues Optimize performance across LAN/WAN/WLAN environments This is a technical, execution-focused role-not just monitoring, but actively building and improving systems. Required Qualifications Experience 5–7 years of enterprise network engineering experience Experience leading a team of engineers Hands-on experience with: Aruba networking technologies Palo Alto firewalls Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Routing & switching VLANs TCP/IP DNS / DHCP VPN technologies Wireless networking Experience with: Network monitoring and performance tools Troubleshooting complex network issues Core Competencies Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and in team environments Clear communication and documentation skills Education Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Equivalent experience accepted Preferred Qualifications Certifications: CCNP PCNSE (Palo Alto) Aruba certifications Experience with: SD-WAN Network automation Cloud networking NAC solutions Experience in federal or regulated environments What You'll Be Doing Network Engineering & Operations Design, implement, and support: LAN / WAN / WLAN VPN connectivity Maintain high availability and performance across network systems Aruba Network Management Configure and manage: Aruba switches Wireless access points Controllers and management platforms Optimize wireless and switching environments Firewall & Security (Palo Alto) Administer Palo Alto firewalls: Security policies NAT rules VPN configurations Threat prevention Monitor logs and enforce security best practices Troubleshooting & Optimization Diagnose complex issues involving: Routing and switching Wireless performance Firewall and connectivity Analyze and improve network performance Upgrades & Enhancements Perform: Network upgrades Migrations Patching and refresh efforts Support continuous improvement initiatives Collaboration & Support Work closely with: Cybersecurity teams Cloud engineers Systems and operations teams Provide Tier III support and mentor junior staff Documentation & Standards Maintain: Network diagrams SOPs and configurations Ensure consistency and compliance with standards Work Flexibility Preferred: On-site or hybrid (Glynco, GA) Alternate: Charleston, SC site Remote candidates considered (must support occasional onsite needs) What Will NOT Be a Fit Entry-level network candidates Engineers without Aruba or Palo Alto experience Candidates lacking hands-on troubleshooting experience Candidates unwilling to support onsite requirements What Success Looks Like Stable, secure, high-performing network environments Rapid resolution of complex issues Strong collaboration across teams Continuous improvement in network performance and reliability Summary This is an opportunity for Lead Network Engineers to work with modern enterprise technologies and make a direct impact on network performance and security.
