Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite) Travel: Monthly out-of-state travel required Compensation: Converts to full-time salary of $100K–$110K Overview We are seeking a Network Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise environment focused on modernizing and maintaining multi-site network infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on engineering work, enjoys solving complex network challenges, and can support both project-based initiatives and day-to-day operations. You’ll play a key role in deploying, optimizing, and supporting network solutions across multiple locations, including participating in technology refresh initiatives and infrastructure improvements. What You’ll Be Solving Migrating and optimizing enterprise network environments across multiple sites Supporting network reliability and performance across complex LAN/WAN environments Driving technology refresh efforts and ensuring successful site deployments Enhancing network visibility, security, and overall infrastructure stability Troubleshooting critical issues and implementing long-term solutions Top Skills (Required) Aruba Central provisioning and management HP switching Meraki SD-WAN Additional Experience (Nice to Have) Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) LAN / WAN architecture and support Aruba wireless technologies Multi-site enterprise network environments Key Responsibilities Configure, deploy, and support network infrastructure across enterprise environments Execute network implementations and technology refresh projects across multiple sites Monitor and maintain network performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents across distributed environments Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver network solutions on time Document configurations, processes, and deployment steps What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in network engineering within enterprise environments Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and network troubleshooting Proven ability to support and scale networks across multiple sites Experience working both independently and collaboratively on high-impact initiatives Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams Work Environment & Expectations Primarily onsite in the Columbus area with flexibility depending on project work Monthly out-of-state travel required to support site initiatives and deployments Fast-paced environment supporting both project work and operational needs Team values accountability, adaptability, and strong communication Employment Details Contract-to-hire opportunity Competitive conversion salary of $100K–$110K annually Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
