We're currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join us onsite in Farnborough, supporting critical infrastructure in some of the UK's most secure and innovative environments. What You'll Do As a Network Engineer with Thorn SDS, you won’t be stuck behind a desk—your work will help shape robust, secure, and scalable networks that support some of the UK’s most high-stakes operations. You’ll play a vital role in everything from network design and implementation to performance optimisation and cloud integration. Key Responsibilities: Configure and manage routers, switches, and VLANs Develop robust routing protocols and network segmentation Complete relevant documentation Create detailed, scalable network designs and configurations Automate tasks to streamline network operations Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance performance across environments Collaborate in PI planning and cross-functional teams Lead or guide team members as needed What We're Looking For We’re seeking a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, high-tech environments. You’ll need a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think several steps ahead. Your Skill Set: Proven experience as a Network Engineer in a professional environment Hands-on with routing/switching, network security, automation, and monitoring Experience with network virtualisation and cloud technologies Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Competency with Windows and Linux systems CompTIA Network+ Why Join Thorn SDS?
