As a Network Engineer, you will: Lead the design and planning of data center network infrastructure with a focus on security, availability, and performance Operate, upgrade, and maintain Fortinet’s data center network infrastructure Drive continuous improvement through automation, optimization, and process enhancements Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and virtualization issues independently and collaboratively Provide technical leadership by actively sharing knowledge and supporting team members Create and maintain documentation for configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes Assist with hardware procurement, staging, and deployment as required Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide after-hours support We Are Looking For: 3+ years of experience supporting or operating mission critical environments Solid knowledge of network administration and industry standards, equivalent to CCNA or higher Strong hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, and VPNs Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python) Experience with network, server, and systems monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus) Basic working knowledge of server virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) Familiarity with DCIM or source-of-truth tools (e.g., NetBox) Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Effective communication skills in both English and Japanese Why Join Us: At Fortinet, we embrace diversity and inclusivity.
