Job Description Link Solutions is seeking a Network Engineering Advisor to join our team in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) in Sierra Vista, AZ. U.S. Citizen Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance Must possess an IAT Level III Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.) Non-remote (relocation incentive available) The Network Engineering Advisor will play a vital role in supporting the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). In this position, you’ll use advanced tools to identify device failures, analyze root causes, monitor network performance, and detect emerging trends. You’ll also conduct deep packet inspections and apply network analytics to maintain situational awareness across the infrastructure. Job Responsibilities: Design and develop voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks. Collaborate with your team to provide detailed weekly activity reports. Support the ADCNOMS project with planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and both technical and operational assistance. Analyze customer requirements and deliver technical solutions to complex problems. Perform maintenance and upgrades on networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and other infrastructure. Ensure network integrity and connectivity while maintaining compliance with policies and supporting system backup and recovery capabilities. Coordinate the acquisition of hardware, software, and subcontractor services as needed. Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks. Design and build hardware and software components for computer and telecommunications networks. Evaluate emerging communications technologies to enhance network capabilities. Stay current with relevant technologies as assigned. May serve as a team lead or task lead. Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen. DoD Secret Clearance. IAT Level III certification DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with ten (10+) years of relevant IT experience, or fourteen (14+) years of directly related experience in the Information Technology field without a degree. Demonstrated expertise in networking technologies and security, including: IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VRF/VPN, MPLS, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), QoS, NAC/NAP 802.1x, VoIP, proxy services, WAN optimization, SSL acceleration, DHCP controllers, EoIP, wireless technologies, VTC, remote access, performance and protocol analysis, and load balancing. Proven experience in network security, both independently and as part of a collaborative team of skilled professionals. CCNA or higher-level Computing Environment certification required within six months of hire. Preferred: Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
