Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Level 1 Network Implementation Engineer to join our Global Network Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. You will join a collaborative team of technical experts dedicated to ensuring seamless global connectivity and robust network operations. What You’ll Do In this role, you will: Responsibility 1: Support the onboarding and configuration of network devices—including routers, switches, and load balancers—to ensure successful deployment and optimal device health. Responsibility 2: Collaborate with vendors and internal teams, such as the Network Operations Center (NOC) and field engineers, to coordinate the implementation of connectivity services like Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Dark Fiber. Responsibility 3: Ensure compliance with organizational standards by following change management procedures and maintaining accurate documentation of all network configurations and implementation activities. What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have: 1–2 years of experience in networking infrastructure (freshers with a Cisco Certified Network Associate [CCNA] certification are also encouraged to apply). Strong knowledge of core networking concepts, including Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), subnetting, and foundational routing protocols such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). Proven ability in technical problem-solving, with a focus on troubleshooting connectivity issues and performing port configurations in a team-oriented environment. A CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification is preferred to demonstrate technical proficiency.
