Work setup: Remote Equipment: BYOD (Bring your own device) Schedule: 8 AM-5 PM or 9 AM - 6 PM Pacific Time | Monday–Friday The Network Implementation Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of managed network services for customers, as defined by customer sales orders. This role focuses on hands-on execution of customer implementations, including design validation, configuration, deployment, migration, and activation of network services. What does a day in the life as a Network Implementation Engineer (SD-WAN) look like? * Deliver end-to-end implementation of customer network services, including firewalls, SD-WAN, switching, wireless, and WAN connectivity. * Manage and execute multiple concurrent customer implementation projects, balancing priorities, timelines, and customer communication. * Configure, deploy, and activate Cisco Meraki and/or Fortinet-based solutions in accordance with approved designs. * Implement Arista VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions as required. * Coordinate remotely with customer IT staff and Cox field technicians to complete on-site activities. * Execute network migrations and cutovers with minimal customer disruption. * Perform troubleshooting during implementation and assist with issue resolution. * Maintain accurate implementation documentation required for transition to Support. * Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, Project Managers, and internal stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and blockers. * Follow implementation standards, processes, and security requirements. What are the required qualifications of a Network Implementation Engineer (SD-WAN)? * 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing enterprise network solutions in customer-facing environments. * Strong hands-on implementation experience with at least one of the following platforms: Cisco Meraki (MX firewalls, Meraki SD-WAN, MS switches, MR access points) or Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and FortiSD-WAN * Experience implementing customer networks in production, customer-facing environments * Ability to independently execute customer implementations with minimal oversight * Proven ability to independently manage multiple simultaneous network implementation projects. * Strong practical experience with Cisco Meraki and/or Fortinet platforms. * Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking, WAN architectures, and SD-WAN concepts. * Experience working with U.S.-based customers or in globally distributed teams. * Strong written and verbal English communication skills. * Ability to ramp quickly and operate with limited onboarding time.
