EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, DEC, or equivalent technical certifications.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data network and/or network security operations.Cisco CCNP/CCIE certification is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Cisco Catalyst 9k/6k/4k/3k, Nexus 9k/7k/5k/3k/2k2, STP, HSRP, VDC, VPC, VLAN, LACP, OTV.
  • Routing ISR/ASR platforms, OSPF/BGP/MPLS, Multicast.
  • Telecom technologies like DWDM.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and IT infrastructure management best practices.
  • Experience with Cisco ACI or willingness to learn.
  • Unix system management and scripting (Python & Ansible, GitHub).
  • Network tools: Shinken / Nagios, Corvil network probes, Matrix switches (Gigamon, Arista).Security technologies: Fortinet, Checkpoint & Cisco ASA Firewalls, NAC, WiFi.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Network & Infrastructure Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of critical technical projects, manage network operations, and ensure the smooth functioning of infrastructure and client systems. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with local and global teams to implement, maintain, and optimize IT and network systems.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead or participate in technical projects, coordinating with local and global application, infrastructure, governance, and client teams. Key projects include:
  • Implementation of DNA across the campus.
  • Deployment of ACI in core data centers.
  • Provide Level 2/3 operations support and monitoring during business hours.
  • Prepare and communicate daily morning check reports.
  • Improve operational processes and documentation.
  • Participate in on-call schedules outside business hours (including nights and weekends).
  • Manage incidents and problems:
  • Detect, communicate, and resolve incidents during business hours.
  • Manage Level 2/3 operations incidents and problems.
  • Manage requests:
  • Prioritize daily requests and ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in change management activities:
  • Deliver changes during non-business hours, including weekends.
  • Conduct change configuration peer reviews with Level 3 engineers.
  • Contribute to network automation initiatives.Work in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
