This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Network Infrastructure Technician II in United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale network infrastructure projects supporting mission-critical operations. You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WLAN networks, cabling, and telecommunications systems in a secure government environment. The position involves hands-on installation of both passive and active network equipment, including fiber and copper cabling, while following industry standards for structured cabling and grounding. You will collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure reliable, high-performance network operations. The role may require travel to secure government sites and adherence to clearance requirements, providing a meaningful impact on operational readiness and technological efficiency. This position is ideal for individuals with technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of network infrastructure. \n Accountabilities: Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including CAT6, CAT6A, and multi-mode fiber. Perform fusion splicing and troubleshooting of fiber and copper network cabling. Install and configure active network equipment and telecommunication systems. Implement changes to existing networks using schematics and documentation such as AutoCAD and Visio. Maintain and update design and implementation documentation for structured cabling systems. Provide technical support and problem diagnosis for LAN and WLAN infrastructure. Utilize cable analyzers, diagnostic equipment, and other tools to ensure network integrity. Enforce BICSI and TIA standards for cabling and grounding. Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and site management teams. Requirements: Active Secret Clearance required; TS/SCI preferred. 1+ year of telecommunications/electronics vocational training or professional certification (ABET-accredited or equivalent military training). Strong knowledge of Layer 2 (switching, VLANs) and Layer 3 (routing, protocols), and network security fundamentals. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with LAN/WLAN infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio. BICSI Technician® (TECH) certification strongly preferred. Ability to pass a technical interview. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform repetitive tasks on ceiling-mounted equipment.
