We see the world through a Future Ready® lens, fuelled by a shared commitment to making a positive impact—one project and community at a time.   Network Inspector   WSP is looking for an experienced Network Inspector to support the delivery and performance of road network maintenance and minor capital works across the Paeroa/Thames area. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with contractors, project teams and clients to ensure safety, quality and performance across the network.   In this role, you will assist with day-to-day operational activities across assigned road network maintenance contracts and support the delivery of a range of civil engineering projects. These include road rehabilitations, reseals, footpath and drainage upgrades, AWTs and minor safety works.   You’ll be involved in inspections, contractor performance monitoring, contract administration and project support, while also contributing to emergency response and on-call services when required.   Key responsibilities include:   * Assist with the management of road network maintenance contracts, including contractor performance and payment claims  * Carry out field inspections and ensure network control activities are completed in line with client and contractual requirements  * Support the planning, delivery and monitoring of maintenance programmes across sealed and unsealed roads and associated assets  * Assist with the delivery of minor capital works and operational projects, ensuring time, cost and quality outcomes are achieved  * Maintain accurate records including RAMM inventory and as-built information  * Prepare reports highlighting key issues, risks and achievements  * Provide on-call and emergency response support as required  * Act as a technical mentor within network operations to support capability development across the team   About you   * A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant practical experience in civil engineering or network operations  * A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related discipline  * Experience working with maintenance contracts, inspections or operational delivery  * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors, clients and internal teams  * Good attention to detail and sound reporting and administrative capability  * A current, clean New Zealand driver licence   Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.   We are proud to have the blueprint of Aotearoa New Zealand in our DNA and our 2,000+ expert professionals in 24 offices are united by the common purpose of creating positive, long-lasting impacts on the communities we serve.        Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
