JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance. This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles and hands-on experience with various technologies. The Network Technician will work closely with other IT professionals to support our organization’s network needs and contribute to ongoing projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in networking protocols such as OSPF.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible for configuration management.
• Familiarity with Linux distributions such as Debian or openSUSE.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex networking issues.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies is a plus.

• Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring optimal operation of all systems.
• Troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures.
• Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches to secure the network environment.
• Implement virtualization solutions to enhance resource utilization and scalability.
• Assist in the deployment and management of storage area networks (SAN).
• Collaborate with the team on cloud services implementation using AWS.
• Utilize monitoring tools such as PRTG to track network health and performance metrics.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
