The Role Do you want to be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge network solutions? Within our Network Services team at Kyndryl, you will be the go-to expert for providing top-of-the-line technical solutions throughout the entire solution lifecycle. You will be responsible for creating local and wide-area network solutions that utilize multiple platforms and protocols, ensuring that our customers have the best possible network infrastructure to support their business needs. Your skills in routers, networking controllers, bridges, and networking software will be essential as you troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors to install the latest hardware and software, such as routers and switches. Not only will you help keep our customer’s networks running smoothly, but you will also work on project implementation, conduct project planning and cost analysis, and build proof-of-concept solutions with networking system technology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to review project requirements, communicate them accurately to the team, and ensure they are appropriately fulfilled. You will use your expertise to design and implement local and wide-area network solutions, including IP and VOIP, that address customer requirements. You will also provide high-quality technical solutions to our customers to prepare them for implementation, go-live, and maintenance. Roles and Responsibilities: The Network SME will be a member on the Global Infrastructure Network Operate quad. This person will be responsible for network operations and infrastructure services. Regionally and globally. As a part of the Network Team, Your responsibilities will include day to day activity and support, participation in on-call rotation, and documentation. This environment includes, but is not limited to: Cisco routers, Cisco IOS switches, Cisco Nexus line, Cisco ASA firewalls, Vyatta Firewalls. Provide technical support to ensure a high degree of Customer Happiness through Service Level Agreement (SLA) & Process Compliance. Perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Minimum of 10+ years’ experience focused on Data Center network support, configuration and implementation. Total 7+ years of experience on core switching, routing, MPLS and FWs Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc.), SMTP and SNMP. Exposure to Cisco UCS platform and related switching configurations Experience deploying and maintaining wide area networks with emphasis on IPSec, L2L VPN, and Remote Access VPN Networking and security architectural and engineering support experience across local, regional and global domains Ability to effectively execute multiple IT projects and deadlines with limited supervision Excellent written and oral communication skills Working knowledge of AWS Networking, SDN, Checkpoint firewalls and F5 Load Balancers Hands on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Experience with TCP/IP, networking, and DNS, SMTP, and HTTPS Hands on experience with VLANs and routing Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix security (Firewalls, ACLs, Authentication, etc.). Experienced on cisco technologies like Cisco Nexus Switch, Cisco DC switches and Routers, WLC. Hands on experience on network routing protocols like TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, VPN, IPSEC, GLBP, HSRP, BGP, CDP, STP, VTP, NAT, PAT, ISL, VLAN, WiFi, PBR. • Knowledge on Fortinet firewall, Checkpoint, Cisco Firewall, Guradicore, Zscaler, Pensando and Juniper Firewall. Experienced in SDN Technologies like Cisco ACI, and SD-Access. Hands on experience on F5 Load Balancer. • Good knowledge of Cisco/Aruba wireless controller & Wi-Fi LAN setup IT process knowledge of availability, Change, Incident, Problem & Capacity Management. Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in Operating Systems tuning and configurations Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI). Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in computer engineering, systems or related field.
