Part of Networks Department, Infrastructure team is covering close to 40 countries.
Network Managers are reporting directly to Head of Infrastructure.
The key responsibility is Managing the sites and OSP infrastructure within the delegated countries, with regards to capacity, operation and maintenance.
This role requires planning, operations, maintenance, vendor management, project implementation, documentation and delivery with regards to Telecom site infrastructure (Data Centers) Own or Rented, Technical site cabling and OSP (optical fibre cable, duct & routes).
The Network Manager is supporting processes such Life Cycle management, Network optimisation, Service Assurance, Service delivery, Customer Care, Sales and other processes as required.
To support the Arelion processes all OSS/BSS will be used as required (Operation Support System / Billing Support System).
NM is working closely with Infrastructure Planning Role and is in charge of the implementation for Site Growth, End of Life equipment Replacement, Telecom Equipment or customer infrastructure installation.

Skills & Requirements

  • Local Language (Job Location) & English Fluent is mandatory & Strong Knowledge in German (Technical)
  • Degree or Solid Knowledge in Technical Facilities or Telecom/Utility Networks Operation (Power/Cooling/Fiber Network)
  • Comfortable in working in digital workspace of multinational company using English
  • Autonomous in task delivery but also strong team player
  • Open to travel to support business needs

Responsibilities
  • Ensure procedures are in place to allow operation and maintenance of infrastructure and sites.
  • Ensure the controlled access and the security of all Arelion technical sites.
  • Co-ordination of any external engineering contractors when required.
  • Ensure network inventory is always up to date using data bases and follow-up reporting as required.
  • Participate in activities related to Critical Infrastructure Protection following local regulation
  • Responsible for site infrastructure capacity such as cooling, power systems across their life cycle and ensure that their capacity is optimised to best support the business need.
  • Improve sites efficiency.
  • Manage local vendors as required & support the management of global vendors.
  • Support handling right of way for Arelion own optical network.
  • Plan and Implement OSP capacity and reroute as required.
  • Support the Opex and Capex forecasting process for Infrastructure costs and contracts.
  • Manage site optical cabling capacity.
  • Deliver customer orders as required.
  • Manage all incidentals related to sites and act as point of local escalation.
  • Manage planned works on Arelion Infrastructure.
  • Support bids/solution process with required inputs and activities.
  • Support product development with required inputs and activities.
  • Support Cost & invoices accuracy tracking in the countries.
  • Support the delivery process with required inputs and activities
