Job Title: Network On-Site Representative (NOSR) / IT Systems Analyst – Submarine Networks Support

POSITION OVERVIEW:

STi is seeking experienced Network On-Site Representatives (NOSRs) / IT Systems Analysts to provide technical, assessment, and modernization support for Submarine Information Systems in support of MARMC C273B and COMSUBLANT (CSL). In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for network maintenance, repair, inspections, and administrative support on assigned submarines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):

  • Active SECRET clearance at time of hire.
  • Specialized Experience: Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with:
  • SubLAN CANES
  • SubLAN COMPOSE 3/4 (SIPR/NIPR)
  • At least two of: NTCSS, NTDPS, HBSS, GCCS-M, NIAPS
  • General Experience: Minimum 7 years’ Information Systems experience with computer-controlled equipment aboard Navy ships/submarines.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) or ability to obtain before start.
  • Ability to perform physically aboard ships: extended walking, ladder climbing, confined spaces, working aloft.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience interfacing with TYCOM, ISIC, and CSL staff.
  • Prior submarine network modernization project support.
  • Instructor/training background for shipboard IT personnel.
    Travel: Primarily based at assigned homeport; may include short underway periods or occasional travel for training, meetings, or support of assigned submarines.
Responsibilities
  • Provide onboard and TYCOM administration support, system guidance, training, and monitoring of submarine networks.
  • Advise CSL, Squadron Commanders, and submarine COs on technical, maintenance, and administrative issues for submarine information systems.
  • Assist ship’s force in resolving operational, maintenance, logistics, and administrative issues affecting network readiness.
  • Train fleet network administrators on SubLAN maintenance, backups, switch configurations, and software administration.
  • Monitor ship’s force proficiency and recommend improvements to CSL, ISIC, MARMC, and COs.
  • Support modernization efforts and engineering changes, ensuring strict configuration management.
  • Conduct periodic assessments and attend submarine network technical meetings and briefs.
