IREN’s vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada.   The Network Operations Engineer will provide tier 2 response to site and customer impacting events across the IREN Fleet. They will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues escalated by on site support, working with vendors and product teams as appropriate to expedite resolution. This role involves troubleshooting all layers of our network and HPC operations, documenting incidents, and escalating complex issues to leadership, when appropriate. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.     * A minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience, ideally in data center operations or similar work environment. * Core network and computer troubleshooting skills (CCNA, CompTIA Network+ / A+, etc.) * Experience or certifications with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, and FortiSwitch, are highly desirable. Candidates with transferable skills from Cisco's Nexus and Firepower product line are encouraged to apply.  * Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership, service providers and various personnel. * Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as computer troubleshooting, and repair is considered an asset. * Previous experience as part of a network operations or response team (NOC, SOC, etc.) a strong asset * Response, triage, and resolution of network incidents as part of a 24x7 365 response team; Supporting escalations to Teir 3 product operations, when appropriate. * Network Management and Optimization: Oversee and maintain all network monitoring and alerting systems within the datacenter, ensuring high availability and efficiency. * Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Rapidly identify and resolve network-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous network performance. * Hardware Maintenance and Management: Supervise the upkeep and operation of network hardware switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal functionality. * Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance network reliability and speed. * Security Oversight: Ensure robust network security to protect data and prevent unauthorized access. * Collaboration with External Providers: Work with third-party service providers for specialized network support and resolutions. * Documentation and Procedures: Create and maintain comprehensive operational procedures and workflows for network management. * Support the systems repair teams with installation and management of support systems.
