NTT DATA is looking for a Level 3 Network Operations Engineer to support a key project in Federal Government. This role will work within the NTT DATA Network Operations Centre (NOC) and collaborate with our Client to offer crucial managed services in support of nationally important networking and monitoring systems. This partnership aligns with our customer’s mission of providing safe, secure, efficient, and environmentally responsible services. The role plays an important role in in the administration and support of the infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of security, safety and reliability. The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing WAN, LAN and Data Centre Networking, Wireless Networks, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Corporate Telephony and Network Management Platforms and Applications. What You'll be Doing Work independently, with general direction from the client, stakeholders, team lead or senior manager, to perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents / requests in a timely manner within agreed SLA. Timely and consistent updates of tickets with resolution tasks performed. Proactively identify, investigate, analyse issues and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner. Capture all required and relevant information for immediate resolution. Plan, coordinate and implement complex system changes within client specified change windows. Liaise with the client, vendors, and other partners to ensure minimal disruption to the client’s day-to-day business operations. Monitor performance levels and capacity of supported devices and networks and assist in proper capacity planning and management. Test new software versions and patches for release suitability and problem resolution. Maintain detailed, accurate technical documentation and operational procedures for supported solutions. Operate within Security and Compliance frameworks. Support facility and access management for the NOC Operations Centre and associated data centres. Obtain and maintain all role-specific internal certifications required to perform the duties of the position effectively. Your Experience and Qualifications You must be an Australian Citizen and hold an AGSVA NV1 Clearance. A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Core Technologies Routing and Switching: Cisco N540-ACC-SYS (WAN Edge), Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC), Juniper Network Fabric - Hands-on experience with network automation platforms like Juniper Apstra or Mist AI for fabric orchestration and assurance.
