Note: This is a fully on-site position in a network operations environment, providing 24/7 support. Remote work will not be considered or permitted. Additionally, an on-site interview will be required at our office in Round Rock, Texas.
Join our team at Televerse as a Network Operating Technician, where you will support networks for Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s new manufacturing facility in Taylor, Texas. You will mainly be involved in the initial triage, escalation, and resolution of network troubles.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Basic computer, operating system, and application knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Professional and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize work under pressure
  • Self-motivated and team-focused attitude

QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED):

  • Experience in working at a Network Operations Center or similar environment
  • Basic understanding of network operations (including topology, protocols)
  • Basic understanding of networking technologies and components such as switches, routers, and firewalls
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Certification

Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor the network and promptly identify, notify, and escalate all issues
  • Assist in the management of the emergency process for issues requiring escalation
  • Act as a point of contact for all incoming service requests, working closely with engineers and communicating directly with clients as needed
  • Perform basic network operations functions such as identifying deterioration of components and dispatching field personnel with repairs
  • Oversee traffic patterns to identify potential problem areas and escalate to take corrective action to implement short-term adjustments, as well as refer chronic problems to Engineering for permanent resolution
  • Compose and send outage alerts related to high-risk network events and major customer-impacting incidents
  • Process equipment return and analysis requests for failed hardware
  • Provide necessary feedback to improve the process and workflow efficiency
  • Continuously develop technical skills by resolving a portion of incoming support cases to enable career progression
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
