Description TTS – Network Security Analyst Trust Technology Solutions – Overland Park, Kansas Position Overview The Network Security Analyst is responsible for the monitoring of the organization’s network security management systems. The Network Security Analyst will investigate security related alarms/alerts and respond to tickets and other service requests. The Network Security Analyst is responsible for using all tools at their disposal to monitor for and identify any internal and external threats, vulnerabilities, or malware. The Network Security Analyst will also assist the Sr. Network Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, and other peers with tasks and project work as needed or assigned. Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements: Minimum 1-3yrs of experience working in a network security capacity, where the responsibilities included monitoring or managing network security systems. Experience with at least one SIEM product, such as Splunk / Splunk Enterprise Security. Experience with network security and/or monitoring tools. Experience with antivirus, anti-malware, or endpoint security solutions. Knowledge of network security best practices, network security attack vectors, and possible remediation methods. Good understanding of DNS and how this relates to troubleshooting. **Experience with Cisco products is NOT required for this role, but experience working with a SIEM in a network security capacity is required.** Strong attention to detail. Willingness and ability to learn new products and solutions. Stays abreast with the latest security tactics, trends, and evolving threats. Some of the systems being managed or monitored by this role include: Splunk & Splunk Enterprise Security Cisco Stealthwatch / Secure Network Analytics Cisco XDR Cisco AMP for Endpoints / Cisco Secure Endpoint Cisco Orbital Cisco Secure Malware Analytics Cisco Firepower Management Center / Secure Firewall Management Center Cisco ISE Cisco Umbrella Exceptional candidates will also have: Experience with security analytics tools, such as Cisco Stealthwatch. Experience working with web filtering solutions, such as Cisco Umbrella. Experience with vulnerability management tools like Qualys and Nessus. Experience with both Windows and Linux OS’s. Basic understanding of VPN technologies. Prefer candidates with a security related certification (Security+, CySA, GIAC, CEH, CISSP, Cisco Security certifications, etc.) Prefer candidates who *also* have experience with Cisco firewalls, especially those who have or are seriously pursuing CCNA or Cisco Security certifications.
