We are looking for a Network Security Engineer (m/f/d) in Cologne to start as soon as possible.

This is the profile you bring:

- Completed studies in computer science or comparable training with several years of relevant professional experience

- Sound knowledge of network technologies (LAN / WAN / WLAN), as well as their concepts, services and protocols (especially IPSec)

- Interest in security solutions, such as Watchguard, Fortinet, F-Secure, Checkpoint, Sophos, etc.

- Willingness to participate in regular on-call duty - A sociable person for "consulting" and "problem solving"

- A team player with open communication skills

- Dedicated problem-solving skills as well as high self-motivation and willingness to learn

- Good comprehension skills as well as an independent, structured and analytical working style

- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken

Your future tasks:

- You will advise and support our customers on the topic of network security in incident and change management

- You will be available to our customers as a contact person from the initial fault report to its resolution

- You will ensure the operation of IT security infrastructures

- You will analyze technical faults and support their resolution, primarily in the areas of: Mail and web proxy systems, Firewall, routing, client-to-site and site-to-site VPN, DNS and central authentication

– you monitor the defined service-level agreements.
