ARE YOU THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and motivated to join our ranks. As Network Support Engineer, you will be part of the Service Delivery Team that is responsible for supporting scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures. Since you will support vast and varying internal and external customer profiles, as well as troubleshooting and performing customer configurations in 24x7 work environment, we need you to thrive on delivering great customer service. Furthermore, because we are a smaller organization, it is of the utmost importance that you contribute to our atmosphere of teamwork through collaborative behavior and open communications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College degree in computer science or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience in telecommunications/network industry
  • Experience supporting or testing network services and networking protocols
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • Hands on technical experience with LAN/WAN operations, Linux Operating systems, and networking hardware

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
  • Knowledge of advanced protocol/trace analysis, statistical analysis and performance analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner as well as independently
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand customers’ use cases, expectations and perspectives.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and meticulous
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English & French)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be located at a reasonable daily commute distance from the Montreal office.
  • Must have the right to work in Canada independent of any company (citizen, permanent resident or valid long duration work permit/visa).
  • Must be available to work varying shifts (multiple shift patterns) and on a rotating on-call schedule (including nights and week ends).
