Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Network System Engineer to provide technical support to our program based in Chantilly. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including systems services administration, server provisioning, network integration, repository management, network-attached storage management, hardware administration, and document and compliance management. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technology field, or equivalent industry experience Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly to be considered for this position Expertise in configuring and administering Juniper and Cisco network devices Should be skilled in the configuration and administration of NAS devices, specifically QNAP and Synology Proficiency in managing network infrastructure hardware, including KVM switches, terminal servers, etc Strong experience in administering Linux systems Competency in setting up and managing virtualized environments such as VMWare and KVM Knowledge in managing power and environmental network hardware, including UPS, Remote Power Control (RPC), and rack cooling systems. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment
