Piper Companies is seeking a Network Tech I for a long-term contract opportunity to join an established Healthcare Organization in Reading, PA. This position is ONSITE (5 days per week) and will require occasional local travel to multiple sites within the area. *Candidates must currently be local to Reading, PA or surrounding areas.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE JR. NETWORK ENGINEER:

• Experience with PC replacement and configuration.
• Ability to check and modify IP addresses on network devices.
• Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Experience with Fluke testing tools for cable testing and network configuration.
• Familiarity with network hardware – routers and switches.
• Experience providing on-site support for PC/network issues.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.

• Assist in the replacement and configuration of PCs and network devices.
• Check and modify IP addresses on network equipment as needed.
• Execute basic network diagnostic commands on switches, such as the “show” command, to gather information.
• Perform network cable testing using Fluke testing tools to ensure connectivity and signal quality.
• Support the IT team in troubleshooting network issues related to hardware and configuration.
• Document and report findings from network tests and device configurations.
• Provide on-site support for network equipment and PC installations.
