Description

We are currently hiring for the Network Technician position.
This position’s duties include (but are not limited to) assembly, servicing, repairing and installing technology (servers, wifi, routers, servers, layer 2 and 3 switches) for ISSERVICE Technology and its customers, both at our office location and at the customers’ site, as well as internal administration (documentation). Backup setups, troubleshooting and monitoring will be part of the role. You will primarily working on Tier 1 and Tier 2 setups and support for our customers, however you may be called upon to assist other technicians with other needs and projects where deemed necessary by management. This position includes being involved in the planning, implementation and support of our clients’ computer, server and network device infrastructure.
Providing effective fast and well communicated support to our clients is the main focus of all positions. This is an experienced role with the expectation that once being successfully integrated into our team, other team members will leverage your experience and knowledge to help them, and likewise you will leverage the pool of knowledge from our other technicians to assist you with your tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enjoys on-site work and thrives in real-world problem-solving environments
  • Passionate about structured cabling and delivering clean, reliable installs and maintenance
  • Performs routine tasks such as cable pulls, terminations, testing, labeling, and cleanup
  • Understands networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, patch panels, wireless, etc.)
  • Familiar with line-of-sight principles for wireless bridge and point-to-point assessments
  • Documents all work performed, including changes made, materials used, issues encountered, and resolutions
  • Updates infrastructure records, port mappings, cable IDs, and equipment configurations
  • Takes before-and-after photos, maintains detailed field notes, and contributes to internal knowledge bases
  • Comfortable using digital documentation tools (e.g., shared cloud folders, ticketing systems, mobile apps)
  • Works closely with remote teams to ensure transparency and accuracy in service delivery
  • Reliable, detail-focused, and proactive about communication and follow-up
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and can travel across the Niagara Region, Hamilton, and the GTA
  • College Diploma and/or University degree in Computer Systems Technology or equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
  • Administrative knowledge of Microsoft o365 products and management
  • Experience with systems monitoring software

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
