JOB DESCRIPTION

Role/Title: Network Test Engineers/ Network Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced DOCSIS / CPE Test & Validation Engineer with a strong background in networking QA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing broadband CPE devices (cable modems, routers, gateways) in a lab environment, with deep knowledge of DOCSIS protocols and networking fundamentals. This role involves validating new software/hardware releases, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of QA/testing experience with broadband or networking devices.
• Proven hands-on experience with CPE testing (modems, gateways, routers).
• Strong understanding of DOCSIS protocols and certification processes.
• Knowledge of TR-069 and remote device management systems.
• Strong networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching.
• Proficiency with packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Experience working in a QA lab environment.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Experience testing video protocols (MPEG, RTP, RTSP) and video service delivery.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN / SASE technologies.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for test automation.
• Telecom / Cable / ISP industry experience preferred.
