JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Voice Engineer to design and implement, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise-level voice and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge in VoIP systems, SIP, QoS, Cisco Unified Communications, and network protocols, with a proven ability to lead network deployments and optimizations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or relevant experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in network and voice engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications suite of products and services.
  • Proficient with VoIP technologies, SIP, RTP, MGCP, SCCP, and QoS strategies.
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, Solarwinds etc.)
  • Fair Knowledge of Legacy PBX systems
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and security practices in voice environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and documentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (OPTIONAL YET GOOD-TO-HAVE)

  • CCNA / CCNP Collaboration or equivalent Cisco certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing or Zoom Phone integration
  • Familiarity with cloud-based telephony (e.g., Cisco Webex Calling, RingCentral)
  • Scripting/automation skills (Python, Powershell) a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and support complex VoIP and data network infrastructure across multiple sites.
  • Deploy and maintain Cisco Unified Communications platforms (CUCM, Unity Connection, IM&P, Expressway, CUBE, CER, CUAC).
  • Manage SIP Trunking, dial plans, call routing, and QoS configurations.
  • Collaborate with IT Security Teams to ensure voice systems comply with corporate security policies.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of voice quality issues, outages, and latency issues.
  • Plan and implement upgrades, migrations, and patches for voice infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and provide capacity planning to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Document network topologies, configurations, procedures, and change management activities.
  • Interface with vendors for support, escalations, and technology assessments.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and provide Tier-3 Technical Support.
