As a Communications Operator or Networks Operator, you’ll ensure the Navy provides effective communication over large distances and is always connected.
Whether you have recently finished school, currently studying, already in the workforce or you have no experience at all, you’ll be paid from day one. You’ll gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job training.

You can choose to apply for one of two roles in the Communications & Networks Operator pathway, Communications Operator or Networks Operator. Whichever role you choose to take on, you’ll build a unique skillset and work onboard ships and ashore.

• Networks Operator: Manage, operate and maintain advanced ICT networks to protect information and keep your ship connected and secure.
• Communications Operator: Be the communications link exchanging sensitive and top-secret information for Navy operations and missions.
