By join ing our Prisons Health Care Team, you will not only look after the healthcare needs of our patients residing in secure environments , but who also can have a real impact on promoting health and well-being.   • Lead in the identification, assessment, support of people with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, including Autism, Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.
  • Provide & support others to offer adapted psychosocial interventions for people whose communication, thinking style & coping strategies are impacted upon by the presence of a ND.
  • Hold a complex caseload of people who are identified to have needs associated with ND & require reasonable adjustments to be made to their healthcare.
  • · Keep up to date with research, policy & legislation relevant to ND.
  • Offer expert consultancy to the Mental Health Team & contribute to person centred pathways & interventions within the MDT.
  • Develop person centred Care Plans which identify strengths & needs in collaboration with individuals.
  • Supported by your clinical lead to improve the outcomes of people with ND at HMP Send, delivering against the national specifications for primary & mental healthcare for people with ND.
  • Deputise in the absence of line manager when required & play an active part in the Healthcare Management Team.
  • Recognise that there is need for flexibility, working outside of normal working hours if required, including weekends.
  • Maintain own skills & knowledge to a high standard & ensure that this is reflected within the team.
