Description Neurology Opening – Harlingen, Texas Outpatient Only | No Call | Excellent Work-Life Balance A respected integrated healthcare system in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a Board Certified Neurologist to join a growing outpatient neurology program focused on high-quality, patient-centered care. Position Highlights Outpatient-only Neurology practice Monday-Friday schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM No call responsibilities No weekends or holidays Average patient volume: 5-10 patients per day Collaborative multidisciplinary care environment Strong nursing and administrative support Opportunity to help expand neurological services in the community Compensation & Benefits $325,000 Base salary Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) up to $200,000 Comprehensive federal benefits package including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Federal retirement programs with matching contributions Paid federal holidays and paid annual leave Continuing education support and malpractice coverage Responsibilities Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations and follow-up visits Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions, including: Migraines Seizure disorders Neuropathy Neurovascular conditions Chronic neurological illnesses Order and interpret diagnostic testing including: EEG EMG/NCS Imaging and laboratory studies Provide patient education and medication management Perform neurological procedures as credentialed, including: Botox injections Lumbar punctures EMG/NCS EEG interpretation Collaborate closely with internal medicine, pain management, behavioral health, and rehabilitation teams Participate in quality improvement and clinic optimization initiatives Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency Board Certified in Neurology Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license DEA registration Strong communication and patient-centered care skills Preferred Experience 3+ years of independent Neurology practice experience Experience with Botox or chemodenervation procedures EMG/NCS or EEG interpretation experience Experience evaluating or treating TBI and chronic neurological disorders Why Harlingen, Texas?
