VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is expanding and seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology Service! (Monday - Thursday) State-of-the-Art Facility: Work with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, myelograms, and CSF taps in a cutting-edge, growing hospital Team Culture: Join a supportive, specialized team where your expertise and growth are valued What You’ll Do: Assist in neurological examinations and diagnostic procedures (MRI, CT, myelograms, CSF taps) Perform pre-operative anesthesia planning, calculate drug dosages, and administer medications Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and ensure patient safety Provide pre- and post-operative care, including IVC placement, intubation, and patient recovery Maintain detailed and accurate patient and surgical records Communicate effectively with clients about treatment plans and procedures Perform or be trained in advanced skills Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to ensure top-quality patient care Qualifications: 2+ years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Technician Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols, patient monitoring, and surgical preparation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for learning, growing, and contributing to a dynamic specialty team Benefits of joining the VCA Aurora Team!
