Overview The Neuropsychologist I, will provide neuropsychological assessments and, as needed, consultation and psychological treatment services to clients served by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). Primary clinical responsibilities will be for patients ages 2 years through young adult. Responsibilities 1. Select, administer, and score psychological and neuropsychological tests to assess intellectual functioning, neuropsychological status, personality structure, interest, aptitudes, adaptive function, and academic achievement. 2. Interpret assessment results with regard to understanding brain-behavior relationships, using findings based on current research in neuropsychological assessment and available evidence-based approaches. 3. Write comprehensive neuropsychological assessment reports including diagnostic interpretations and next step management/strategy plans.4. Participate in weekly case conferences or interdisciplinary staff meetings as needed to discuss and evaluate the diagnoses and treatment/management of patients and formulate rehabilitation plans.5. Provide interpretative information to parents and/or primary caregivers (including teachers, therapists); may provide short-term counseling to parents for effecting changes in child management.6. Conduct intake interviews to ascertain the needs of clients and document the results of this interview.7. Assist the Department Director and Clinical Director in the development of clinical initiatives.8. Enter results from all assessments into the Neuropsychology Department and/or database.9. Enter reports into the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. 10. Maintain productivity standards.11. Maintain documentation and reporting standards. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:• Licensure in Maryland as a psychologist is required.• Credentialed as a Licensed Psychologist by the Kennedy Krieger Institute Medical Staff, with specialty privilege in Clinical Neuropsychology.• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited college or university is required.• Completion of APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship, with supervised experience in clinical neuropsychology, is required.• Two-year postdoctoral residency is in clinical neuropsychology is required EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 2 years experience in working with a population of children with intellectual/developmental disabilities is required. This experience may be satisfied through postdoctoral residency training in clinical neuropsychology. Minimum pay range USD $70,511.00/Hr. Maximum pay range USD $125,800.00/Hr.
