Opportunity to help grow a new practice Strong Physician support Current team consists of 1 Neurosurgeon and 1 PA Full-time position with opportunity to work in both the inpatient and outpatient setting Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Responsibilities Average of 10-15 patients per day on the outpatient side; 3-5 when on inpatient service Clinic hours: Monday through Friday 8a-5p Some backup call and weekend rounding may be required once fully trained Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve APP will also assist Physician in the OR Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications Physician Assistant (Preferred) or Nurse Practitioner with OR experience Board Certified Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of IA Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States We offer Salary based position with performance incentive A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in. Responsibilities
The APP will manage an average of 10-15 outpatient patients per day and assist the physician in the operating room. Responsibilities also include evaluating and coordinating patient care information.
