QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors’ Degree in Mining Engineering and/or Accounting/Finance/Administration
• Desirable: Master’s degree (Operations or Business Administration)
• +15 years of experience in a mining or similar operational environment is preferred
• Evidence of strong leadership and coaching skills

STATUTORY/LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license
• MSHA Safety Certification up to date

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Technical / operational knowledge and skills relevant to this role and level of work
• Advanced level knowledge and understanding of the mine, plant/process, and all related operations and functions

CORE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

To lead the Gold Bar site by maintaining an appropriate balance of long-range planning (life of mine) vs cost effective operations (day to day operational value), to ensure the safe, sustainable, and efficient delivery of Gold Bar goals and objectives.
The Operations and Finance Manager is also responsible for successfully interacting with external stakeholders.
