Description We’re Hiring: New Business Account Manager Location: Northern California | Remote | Full-Time, Exempt About the Role The New Business Account Manager supports the growth of Bender Insurance Solutions by managing the new business process for commercial lines accounts. In this role, you’ll partner closely with producers, carriers, and clients to deliver high-quality submissions, negotiate coverage and pricing, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients. You’ll also play a critical role in building and maintaining strong carrier relationships and supporting agency-wide growth initiatives. What You’ll Do Support producers in the production of new business, including applications, submissions, proposals, and binding of coverage. Ensure the quality of new business submissions to achieve hit ratio goals. Strategize with producers on coverages, markets, and carrier communications to position BIS competitively. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with carriers to deliver high-quality products to insureds. Keep producers informed of all important submission activity and maintain accurate records in agency systems. Participate in Commercial Lines strategic planning and agency committees. Provide occasional support to Commercial Lines Account Managers as needed. What You Bring 7+ years of insurance experience with strong knowledge of new business placement, concepts, and coverages. Active Property & Casualty license in good standing. Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or completion of an Insurance Study Program (professional designations such as ACSR, CIC, CPCU, CRM, or CISR preferred). Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Familiarity with Applied Epic and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to providing excellent service.
