Description

OVERVIEW

The New Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving outbound sales, identifying new opportunities, and expanding our customer base. This is an office-based role with occasional travel requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals, focusing primarily on the recycling and processing industries. While the role is mainly outbound-focused, there will also be some inbound lead management.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business development or sales (B2B preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial sales is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and email prospecting.
  • Experience with long sales cycles and transactional sales is a plus.
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns and other proactive sales strategies.
  • Sales Development: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the recycling and processing sectors.
  • Pipeline Management: Qualify leads, manage a sales pipeline, and work towards achieving set revenue targets.
  • Sales Process Execution: Provide product information and negotiate pricing to close deals.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, production and customer service, to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and provide regular sales performance reports.
