Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a New Business Intake Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the administrative setup and maintenance of legal matters within the firm. In this position, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of records, swiftly identifying and resolving any issues that arise. Serving as a key point of contact, you will assist colleagues with inquiries and foster effective collaboration across teams. You will be part of the compliance team and report directly to the Lead NBI.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiating and maintaining client and matter records throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Conducting conflict checks to ensure compliance with ethical standards.
  • Ensuring the correct application of rate agreements on client and/or matter level.
  • Monitoring Engagement Letters received and General Terms and Conditions sent.
  • Consulting with partners and/or PAs regarding invoices.
  • Proactively monitoring work in progress and facilitating matter closure.
