The purpose of New Business Manager role is to provide comprehensive support to Head of Business Development in driving new business creation, category strategy, customer management and contributing to the overall commercial success of our brand Ryde.

THE NEW BUSINESS MANAGER WILL:

  • Support in the effective integration of Ryde into the Australian Commercial portfolio, including leading the distribution expansion, volume management and onboarding of new Ryde distribution
  • Responsible for the development of new specialty channel relationships within the market to expand the reach of Ryde and future wellbeing and stimulation brands
  • Identify the Route to Market strategy and execution specifically crafted to enable distribution delivery within alternate channels.
  • Manage new business account strategy and management, which includes budgeting, performance analysis, and negotiation strategies.
  • Negotiate and Implement trading agreements and handle investment across margin, trade investment and merchandising to agree upon internal budgets
  • Drive internal alignment on customer strategies, including seeking and gaining cross functional approval for investment, merchandising and margin
  • Support development of the commercial trading terms framework for Ryde, and lead the management, review and adjustment trading terms framework
  • Own the integration of New Business management into BAU operation under other customer accounts through collaboration with Heads of Channel and customer teams.
  • Execute all aspects of the Ryde Commercial plan aligned to the agreed timings and collaborate with both local and global stakeholders on updates

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in National Account Management or Business Development, ideally within a trade-focused or customer account environment.
  • A proven track record in successful negotiations, with the ability to drive outcomes that deliver mutual value.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a natural ability to assess situations from a strategic business perspective and make informed decisions.
  • Resilience and adaptability - you remain composed under pressure, learn from setbacks, and stay focused on long-term goals.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence key stakeholders effectively.
  • A solid understanding of sales techniques, and the ability to apply the right approach to suit different customers and situations.
