WORK OPTION: In Office _________________ POSITION SUMMARY The successful candidate will be responsible for searching leads, evaluate prospects feasibility, lead a team in developing sales strategies, and convert prospects to partners. To proactively and aggressively grow NBA China’s sponsorship revenue, the position requires a mix of markets understanding, salesmanship and hands on operational ability in a competitive environment. The candidate is expected to have extensive network in various industries, experience in marketing, expertise and knowledge in media sales, marketing and sponsorship industry are nice to have. This person will work collaboratively with all NBA China departments, NBA headquarters and external prospects. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES To bring significant new partners to NBA China through meeting their marketing needs. To lead and develop innovative new assets and new approaches to market activation that exceed client/partner expectations. Drive sponsorship revenue growth through the creation of new sellable marketing programs, identification of sales targets (i.e., key categories) and development of sales strategies. Contribute significantly to the financing of our major initiatives in greater China • Collaborate with GP Leadership team as well as other key colleagues to develop long and short-term business plan goals and objectives for NBAC. Oversee the creation, development and outreach of sales materials to prospects across the key categories. Identify, secure and foster strategic marketing alliances. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective marketing partners. Build strong relationships with internal and external constituents. REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE Proven seller Success in originating, negotiating and closing significant marketing partnerships. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to work well within a matrixes environment. Strong leadership and decision making abilities, able to inspire and lead a team. A credible and persuasive communicator, adept at operating at board level. Strong presentation and persuasion skills Ability to build relationships with senior executives within current and future partners, and also with senior level executives within the organization. Prior working experience in mainland China is required. Fluency in English required; Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred. 10+ experience in sponsorship, marketing, media, brand management and/or consumer promotions. Proven track record attaining and exceeding revenue targets and building new partnerships. Experience in developing planning tools, budgets, projections, etc. A passion for sports and interest in Basketball.
