Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC-R Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in HVAC installations on residential / mixed-use new construction projects , and possess the mechanical knowledge required to excel in this role.
Duties:
- Install HVAC systems on new construction projects including ERVs and fans, gas furnaces, central heat pumps/AC units, ductless split heat pumps, makeup air units, ductwork, condensate piping, linesets, wiring, and controls
-Measure up and fabricate basic duct transitions as needed
- Perform repair and maintenance as needed
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems by testing for leaks, checking gas pressures, adjusting controls, and making necessary adjustments
- Work together with other team members to complete installations efficiently
-Complete commissioning forms with every install
-Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and apprentices
-Perform site walk-throughs with clients
-Assist in the estimation process
Experience:
-Previous experience on new construction sites required
- Previous experience in residential HVAC retrofit installation is considered an asset
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems effectively
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and installation manuals accurately
-Experience with sales considered an asset
Qualifications:
-Red Seal Certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, or a related mechanical trade (or equivalent experience) preferred.
-Class B gas ticket is required considered an asset
-Sheet metal ticket considered an asset
-Electrical ticket considered an asset
