JOB SUMMARY

This Job will be based out of our new Equator Gloucester location! Opening Soon!!
Looking for: Part-time & Full-time permanent positions
This cafe is located inside the Chapters/Indigo bookstore.
The primary responsibility of Café Team Members is to prepare and deliver high quality products and exemplary customer service. This will ensure an incredible customer experience from the entry greeting as to all aspects of the physical space including presentation and cleanliness. It is important to have a high level of company and product knowledge in order to answer customer questions. They are responsible for acting in accordance with Equator Values and The Equator Way of operating on the café floor at all times.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Café Team Member’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

BARISTA SKILLS (OPTIONAL AFTER ALL OTHER TASKS HAVE BEEN MASTERED)

  • Able to identify all parts and accessories related to the espresso machine and grinders
  • Follows appropriate grinding and dosing procedures and maintains grinder throughout the day
  • Follows proper recipe and procedures for producing consistent espresso shots and testing for quality control throughout the shift
  • Produces quality and consistent textured milk through proper steaming procedures and learns to dose appropriate quantities of milk to avoid waste. Once experienced, learns to also produce quality latte art
  • Follows all cleaning procedures after each beverage and throughout the shift, keeping workspace, equipment and accessories clean and tidy
