Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to contribute to the alignment of finance, business operations, and data analysis across multiple teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the leadership team by delivering insights through data visualization, reporting, and analysis, while improving business processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective coordination of business operations.
This role requires in-person presence at our Mississauga offices.

Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis & Reporting:
Utilize tools such as Power BI and Excel to analyze financial and business data, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business.
Financial Modeling & Analysis:
Assist in the preparation of financial models and forecasts. Support finance-related initiatives by performing variance analysis, budget tracking, and other financial reporting tasks.
Presentation Development:
Prepare compelling presentations using PowerPoint to effectively communicate business insights, data trends, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with teams across finance, operations, and business units to ensure alignment on goals, processes, and project deliverables. Facilitate clear communication between teams to drive successful outcomes.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency in reporting and operations. Propose and implement improvements using analytical and data-driven approaches.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Support:
Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed. This may include data collection, performing research, and delivering recommendations for business improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Technical Skills:
Proficient in Power BI, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.), and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of data visualization and financial analysis tools. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Comfortable working with multiple teams and stakeholders across various functions.
Problem-Solving:
A proactive mindset with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Recent graduate with a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience or internships in data analysis, business operations, or finance.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and financial systems.
