Job Summary To co-labor with parents in leading 5th through 8th grade students to Jesus, equipping them to live for God, and preparing them to be witnesses both here and around the world. Duties and Responsibilities Set up and tear down junior high and 56 classrooms Check students in and out of class Teach and create curriculum for junior high and 56 classrooms Manage 56 support staff employee Have one on ones every other week with oversight Maintain order in a loving, caring, peaceful environment Coordinate weekly volunteer schedule in CCB Lead pre-service team meetings Oversee junior high and 56 volunteer recruitment and leadership Train new volunteers in policies and procedures Follow policy and procedure and standard classroom procedure Attend all required staff meetings Serve at Kids Camp all week Serve at Student Camp and Student retreats as needed Coordinate with New Life North Junior High and 56 Pastor to ensure alignment cross-congregationally Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries of New Life Church Help lead and facilitate junior high and 56 discipleships as needed per season Occasionally go to Student Ministries on Wednesday nights to build relationship with kids and support the Student Ministries Staff Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Living a committed lifestyle to following Jesus and setting an example to others about how to serve Him Understanding of stages of student development with insight into everyday parental challenges. Cooperate with Director and Friday Night pastors to perform any other duties when asked to do so. Education and Experience Education: High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of related experience Working Conditions and Requirements of Office Environment Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and or move up to 25 pounds. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
