Job Purpose Analyze drawings from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured within the factory’s capabilities. Lead Manufacturing Mangement Center (MMC) to prepare and execute new model development and Trial Stage. Improve technical tasks and project targets from a technical viewpoint for product design. Lead entry level engineers through mentorship. Key Accountabilities Conduct studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes. Technical Lead for designated category of parts. Lead correlation of design verifications and represent department in global verification check alignment with Japan. Assure horizontal communication of past problem history across designated category of parts. Lead meetings and technical reviews to develop the most efficient manufacturing process (easy to manufacture, reduced Manpower, error proofing, built in quality, reduced ergo red, efficient part delivery). Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets. Through the New Model development, help create and maintain all documents necessary for process, quality, robot/equipment, and training. Support physical verification of the vehicle during initial production at the factory. Understand the factory capability and constraints. Lead and support collaborative problem-solving activity with team members from your group and other business unit's including Design, Engineering and Buhin (purchasing). Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise. Assure technical know-how is developed for designated part category. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering etc.or equivalent related experience 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. Excel, Power Point, Catia, Read Drawings, Honda Inventory Managemt system, Countermeasure Request Form knowledge, Part Drawing structure, Drawing creation (Minimum Level of Support), Manufacturing Mangement Center (MMC)constraints Working Conditions 10% Travel, 5 to 10 hours of overtime per week – occasional split shift if support needed Office/Manufacturing Floor Flexible working hours/Overtime on demand What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
