You must exhibit strong organizational skills and work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff and administration. Responsibilities: Register new patients Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessary Maintain confidentiality of all patient records Send tasks to Medical Assistant informing them of appointments Maintain provider new patient blocks Send new patient paperwork to all new patients Scan/upload new patient charts upon scheduling Manage new patients scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and no -show appointments appropriately as advised by providers Obtain outside records for all new patients while working with outside doctors/hospitals when necessary Requirements Education/Experience: Must have customer service experience in an office, preferably with patients Successful completion of an accredited medical office assistant education program; or High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience; or High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of six (6) months of full-time RPCI Oncology, PC clinical or administrative health care experience.
Responsibilities
The New Patient Scheduler will assist physicians and patients by scheduling appointments for all providers, answering phones, preparing charts, and scanning documents into the EMR system. Responsibilities also include registering new patients, managing scheduling changes, and obtaining outside medical records.
