  • Experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment
  • Practical skills and knowledge in food preparation and cooking
  • The ability to be consistently accurate, demonstrating attention to detail and working to the highest possible standards
  • The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • The ability to work to given deadlines, focusing on the tasks required
  • Flexibility around working hours during busy periods
  • A good command of English and good communication skills
  • Competent IT skills, use of MS Office and database input

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To administer & support the NPD team in the development of new products within a food manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production of samples as requested by the customer, reheat validations and nutritional testing.
  • Producing submissions forms and nutritional information for all customer submissions.
  • Compiling handovers once products are approved by the customer and re-issuing handovers if amends are required.
  • Organise key pieces of equipment, packaging or ingredients needed for samples.
  • Producing all labels, reheat instructions and address labels for products being sent out.
  • Liaising with the courier driver to organise transportation of samples.
  • Support in test kitchen with concept submissions as and when required.
  • Producing submissions forms and nutritional information for all customer submissions.
  • Producing lunches and refreshments for customer visits.
  • Ensure the kitchen and office area are kept clean
  • Purchasing benchmarks from supermarkets for submissions and development work
  • Needs to be hands on/practical as job is not desk based
  • Cleaning duties and ensuring GMP in the test kitchen area.
