Responsibilities

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a New Product Development Chemist – Personal Care, you will be responsible for developing essential oil blends and personal care products to meet our customer requirements. Reporting to the Product Development Chemist and based at our Lynbrook site, you will be required to work collaboratively with the NPD team and the wider business to maintain the quality and integrity of the products and services for our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop personal care product concepts based on customer requirements and market trends.
  • Develop essential oils blends and aromatherapy products with understanding of the usage and cost effectiveness of products.
  • Prepare prototypes products for quality control and customer evaluation.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance on product and issue work instructions.
  • Enter the raw material and finished product data to the relevant database.
  • Scale up for pilot production and supervise the initial manufacturing process.
  • Present the products to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the laboratory and the library for ingredients and products.
  • Research and collate current scientific information on essential oils and vegetable oils.
  • Represent the organisation at industry and scientific events.
