JOB SUMMARY

The NPD coordinator/Flavorist will assist in all aspects of the NPD process. Creating and distributing samples, organization of standards and analysis of new and existing products. This position will be tracking and trending testing results to create a clear and defined story to present to the NPD team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Two years flavor formulations
· Knowledge of Sensory Evaluations
· Experience with all Microsoft applications (Office, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Can work well under pressure.
· Ability to keep a clean and organized workspace.
· Must have a high attention to detail.
· Experience in the alcohol industry is preferred.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to alternative locations.

Responsibilities

· Shelf-Life studies on existing formulas - Collect initial data of a formula and periodically check to see if the formula changes over time.
·Conduct forced age testing on formulas.
· Analyze formulas by collecting the pH, brix, color, and ABV. Documenting any changes that need to be made before releasing the formula to Blending.
· Assist in the sensory program by creating samples and delivering to multiple facilities.
· Adjust new formulas.
· Analyze opportunities with formulas.
· Test new ingredients such as acids, sweeteners, inclusions, etc.
· Assist with documentation, organization of samples and training.
· Create SOP’s, VWI’s and other controlled documents.
· Track and trend analysis, create presentations, discuss findings with NPD team.
· Conduct sensory analysis on formulas.
· Conduct root cause and corrective actions.
· Mix, adjust, sample, analyze new products as instructed by NPD Manager
· This list of responsibilities is not exclusive. The NPD Coordinator will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.
