Further information is available at . POSITION SUMMARY Design, build, and test products to meet the present and future needs of “NFIL” as directed by the Director of New Product Development. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Construction of prototype parts, assemblies, and installations, working from drawings, sketches, verbal instruction. Provide feedback to engineering on drawings, designs, and theories of operation, understand and navigate BOM and engineering drawing systems. Working with hand and power tools, fabrication equipment and test equipment, some lifting and climbing required. Operation of heavy equipment such as forklift or bus. Write reports and test documentation, use of PC, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Set-up and perform tests from a requested plan. e emerging technologies. Knowledge transfer from NPD shop various departments. Each NPD tech will have a specific talent such as welding, electrical/electronics, hydraulics, heavy equipment maintenance. It is the expected each tech will operate as part of a team, expected to perform cross functional rolls. Shop maintenance and cleaning. Other duties as requested. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Post-secondary certificate or technology degree 3-5 years of experience in a technical or mechanical role within a shop floor environment Ability to READ contractions drawings, schematics, details drawings. Knowledge of engineering drawing, design, aesthetic, and ergonomic principals. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory systems, scientific test methods, FMEA, maintenance, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement.
