COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Saxon Foods is based in Scunthorpe North Lincolnshire. We are one of the biggest own label added-value potato suppliers and we supply some of the biggest high profile supermarket retailers and foodservice multiples in the UK. We specialise in cooked and frozen added-value potato products. With our expansion into a brand-new site and with the help of an innovative and self-driven NPD technologist, we are further expanding our offering with our current and new retail clients, with more added-value products by introducing ingredients and fillings to our portfolio.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Prior experience within food manufacturing or another relevant production environment/industry
• Have Basic Food Hygiene certificate or can demonstrate awareness of food safety procedures
• Be a confident user of computers and technology
• Have experience in accurately costing new products
• Exposure to the understanding of foodservice/retail customers ways of working including the ‘big 4’
• Strong knowledge of frozen and/or chilled foods preferably with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Degree or food related qualification, or similar
• Awareness of factory equipment and processes
• Full driving licence with own car
